the love of God is like...

the love of God is like a giant oak tree whose roots go deep into the ground and is sturdy and dependable... whose branches grow wide and provide shelter to birds who travel through... it does not care what we look like, smell like, sound like, act like, it is there.... it provides places of nesting for the young, shade from the summer's heat... comfort, provision and protection... this is something of what the love of God is like... faithful, unconditional

A long time ago, written on a coffee mug, I saw this:
"Every mighty oak was once a nut that stood its ground."

and the best is that HIS LOVE is everywhere... at the root of the tree, around it, in the top of the tree...
HIS LOVE covers it all
