I got a fake email from amazon (yes, i order books) customer care with this in the subject line:
Order Confirmation number: Z3566043
then i read on, it has a FDX tracking number and it showed a HUGE dollar amount... so I (stupidly) opened the attachment (a zip) file and...
CRASH...
sooo... HOURS of work later (thanks to Symantec's instructions!!) I am fixed, clean and up and running...
the virus is called Backdoor.Haxdoor.O, Symantec has a good description of the virus and the strategy... click here to check it out...
