some progress...

So today I had a victory, I slept until 5am!!! The previous mornings I have awakened at 4am and wide awake too. The problem is not so much the getting up early that is bad, it’s the winding down in the evening too early that’s a drag… but I am operating in a 14 hour time difference… yesterday, we were up in the country and so at about five I went for a walk, the temperature has been below freezing the whole time, the air felt moist and I expected snow… and sure enough about eight here it came, about an inch of beautiful powdery snow which blankets everything. But the thing that came with the snow that made things unpleasant was a gusting wind which made things feel much colder. And much colder it stays… like Virginia which has been experiencing colder than usual temperatures, apparently the same is true here. Later, at about two, a niece drives up in this not much bigger than a Mr. Bean car and we all head to the city with me driving: but that will have to be my next entry, driving on ice…
